Vinayaka Chavithi is also Called as Vinayaka Chaturuthi. Is is Celebrated on the Occasion of Lord Ganesha’s Birthday. There is an Interesting Mythological Story on the Birthday of Lord Ganesh.

One day Lord Shiva kills a Demon named Gajasura. He will be with Elephants Head. Lord Shiva Beheads that Rakshasa and goes to Kailasha. Goddess Parvathi Devi Plans to bath and get ready beautifully before he arrives.

Goddess Parvathi before bathing with Turmeric she makes an idol with that and Goddess Parvathi with her power infuses life into that idol and names it Ganesha or Ganapthi. That Idol comes into life which will be loved by Goddess Parvathi a lot. Parvathi orders Ganesha to see that nobody from outside enters into her Bathroom.

Lord Shiva comes and tries to meet Parvathi but Lord Ganesh Stops him and shiva gets angry and Beheads Lord Ganesha. After knowing this Parvathi gets angry and asks Lord Shiva to get back Lord Ganesha. Thne Lord shiva makes Gajasura’s head fix to Ganesha. In this way Lord Ganesha starts appearing with Elephants head.
